im defo getting a new motor soon,,
been thinkin, suzuki, but livin in northy devon would have to comute to service,, kawaski,,, not sure about ,, honda cbr 9..

ive only own suzukis, dont know what kwaks n hondas are like to own, maintain,, expenses..

so i ask for opinions,,

suzuki 6 or 750
kwak 6 or bigger
honda cbr 9
what bike would you go for n why?

i know a lot are bound to say suzi 7 but its the other bikes id like opinions on..

I suppose it depends on what you're going to use it for, all weather commuting & weekend fun, or just weekend fun.
I don't think there's much between the makes these days regarding build quality. Personally I'd go for a Honda, probably a VFR or CBR6. I've had both in the past & the last VFR I had got used in all weathers (including sleat/snow once) & it didn't cost me anything other than the usual tyres, oil, filters, plugs etc.
It never failed to amaze me as an all round bike that could commute to & in town & then bring a smile to the face out in the twisties.

I've got a ZRX1200 and a ER-6F both new from Irelands in Barnstaple. The ZRX is pure muscle, but still an exhilarating ride. whilst the ER-6F is a fantastic ride......so light and nimble, handles brilliantly.....no doubt about it Kwackers have got it together now.
Take a trip to Irelands to see all the new models on display..........you'll be drooling in no time.

I am changing my bike in 75 days. So far i am weighing up cost of running, insurance and buying the bike!

I have to vote for Suzuki as yamaha are not there.

My upgrade from a cbr125r would either be a faired bandit 600. 2003 onwards or an R6. This is because of my budget. I have budgeted £400ish for insurance. £2000ish for the bike. When i sell my little CBR125 i think i would need to cough up around £1000 for the difference!

i have been looking at the cbr6rr quite tidy,
to be honest i like the triumph 675 but cus its been dogged down a bit i think i will avoid,,
i would use it for comuting short and long distances, i.e work, races.
n the odd (not slow) ride..
a mate of mine s got an older cbr6f n he comutes on the motorway no probs, also goes at a nice pace to.

ive currently got a old gsx kicking out about 110 bhp and dont want to down grade on performance.
would settle for similar if comfortable..
whats the new ninja 6 like to own.. any one??
would a modern 6 keep me entertained or should i go bigger?

Ride a 675 before u cross it off, will eat any 600 on the road, and is still best in class with magazines worldwide.

nar the valves on the 675,,
ive seen the charts for the 675 running against the new ninja cbr gsx 6.
did floor um all round, near enough.
must say the alex buckingham r1 does look nice the one in the rossie paint job or sticker job, arrow or g force can cant remember..
i think i would end up binning it. to gooda bike..
i aint to keen on the new yams tho since they altered the fairing..
more noticible on the white ones..
would be easy to get services done tho!
still unsure..

when they came out i said i wanted one , in black..
being british too..
the service at the triumph place out somerset way is suppose to be pretty good too.
they got a deal somewhere were you get 675 quids worth of 'free' stuff. clothing + stuff i.e can..
but i would be giving it a good thrash n aint up for spending out for hastle.
triumph aint got the best rep at mo is a shame when they have so much history, my old man has a rs, and a tiger no probs with um,
i havent heard of any normal 675 owners feedback yet, i know bike mag blew one up..
but some one said the valves might have touched the pistons during services..

Thats not the case, one magazine had an engine failure on a bike that hadn't been serviced correctly. I also sponsor a NG racing 675 whihc runs against 999, ZX10R, R6, and can outlap most of them pretty much out of the crate, including a supersport spec 999R.

I have seen countless failures on other manufacturers bikes so what you say is well out of context.

We sell and service here as main solus dealers. And you are correct, current 675 purchases until 30th April get 1.99 % finance, and £675 worth of Triumph clothing and accessories thrown in.

i know you work there so might be slighly bias,
any probs with any,,
so you must also be one of the guys my father highly rates,,
he came off a while back brocken raidiator bideford..
