terrible for the poor girl I'm sure, but to be honest you have to be a complete moron to not think that coming off a bike at any speed isn't going to hurt, or not to realise that having an accident is a real possibility every time you get on a bike. if you can skin your knees as a kid falling over at a couple of miles an hour you have to be a complete idiot not to be able to imagine the consequences at 30 times that speed or more.....
let people make their own decisions. fair enough tell them how it is and let it be an informed decision.
sorry but posts telling me what I should and shouldnt wear when I'm out on my bike p1ss me right off - all the good intention in the world doesnt give anyone the right to make that decison for me. 90% of the time I will wear all the gear but the other 10% if I want to go out in just jeans then hey, I know the risk I'm taking and i won't expect any sympathy when they scrub gravel out of my arse with a nail brush...

ive had three offs since I've been riding and each time my leathers have been at home hung up luckily I had gore tex on the last time but if it's going to happen it will happen the one tome you say "I'm only going down the road"
