I used Ebike for a multibike policy, as it's all online, you can change named riders/bikes as and when you need to.

I tried ebike and they said they could only do multibike if you already had another bike, couldn't add one at a later date. And when I told the bloke I wanted to shop around he got well snotty. Read here: http://southwestbikers.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=83480

I ended up put 'motorcycle insurance muti bike' in google. Ended up with Bennets 8) You can have upto 6 bikes on one polocy with them.

Yeah? Were you on a yearly policy? I'm on a monthy one, I added my VFR to my policy halfway though the month with no problems, I then removed my GSX a week later, also with no problems. It went straight though on the day, had the new policy documents in the post the next day.

Keith Michaels Plc. 0845 3373380

They have looked after my policy for 6 years now. and are so much cheaper than anyone I try each year.

They insure my 998 Ducati thats valued at about 7k and My Blackbird for 3K for the sum of £299.21 they are 5 and 9 years old now and I am 33 but the IAM and no claims bring the price right down.

I now feel like the old gits that laughed at me spending £1200 aged 28 on the 998 when I first got it.

I am hunting about to renew on my GSXR have previously been with Ebike and most recently Bennetts. Decided to have another look at Ebike this year, stuck my details in for a quote which came out at just under £300 fully comp with 4 years NCB, (thats about the same as i paid this year with 3 years NCB for Bennetts) and a £200 voluntary excess.

Whilst this may have looked ok on the face of it and i probably would have gone ahead and purchased i decided to click on the 'View excesses and endorsements' link which was under the voluntary excess box and this is what i found.

There is no cover for theft or attempted theft under Section One of the policy unless all disclosed approved security is fully operational when the vehicle is left unattended. Where specified Ground Anchors should be fitted at the disclosed address and utilised together with an approved lock and chain when parked at the disclosed address.
Garaging Excess: £250
If you do not keep your motorcycle in a locked garage between 22.00 and 06.00 (BST or GMT as applicable) when the motorcycle is parked at or in the proximity of your private dwelling, you will be responsible for the first £250 of each claim under Section one for loss of or damage to your motorcycle, irrespective of the time of loss. This amount is in addition to any other excess(es) shown in the schedule.
Own Damage Excess: £700
Please refer to policy wording for details.
Fire and Theft Excess: £700
Please refer to policy wording for details.

Basically if the bike had been nicked, caught fire, or i threw it down the road i would have been £900 out of pocket straight away on any claim. I am usully the type to skip the instruction manual and not read terms and conditions etc however after seeing this i shall be reading my insurance docs a little closer!!!!!!!!

Needless to say i won't be insuring with Ebike

Yep, you have to watch for the small print

I was stiffed with a £250 excess this year ....... but then it is only £150 fully comp with all mods listed (which is a surprisingly long list for a fairly standard looking bike  ) including their pet hates, an aftermarket exhaust and a power commander
Of all the things I have ever lost, I miss my mind the most .....
