Hello from a newbie!

Post by badgerKDD »

Hiya, posted a query couple of days ago so thought I'd better properly introduce myself! I'm Badger and live ina little village half way between Redruth and Falmouth (Stithians, for those that know it). I ride a 400 Bandit , 93 reg UK version ( single front disc, import has twin). I work in the surfboard industry making the foam blanks that form the core of boards, but I'v been involved in fiberglass laminating on boats and surfboards since 91. If any one needs fibreglass fairing repairs done give me a shout! I'm not the most prolific poster on forums, having three very young kids keeps me busy when i get home from work so I don't get on line often, usually too knackered! Over the last year or so I'v been really trying to do my own bike maintenence/ fixing so I'll probably be pestering those of you who know your onions, as my knowledge is limited!

Any way, hello to you all and hope to see you on the road sometime  :D
Cut me in half and I'v got Suzuki written right through me!
Ride GSXR 750 WR ( 1994) .

welcome to the forum! stithians is the place with the reservoir isnt it? sure i've been there for rowing races in the distant past when falmouth was too rough to race.
so would you be a good person to speak with if I wanted to try my hand at getting a blank and making my own board? was looking at kits for a fatboy flyer online yesterday funnily enough

Hello, My parents live in Stithians (Father rides a FZ1 Fazer), might see you around - actually I think I followed you into the village a while ago coming in from Pelean Cross.

ps - Chris_1127 - did you need the splashboards on at Stithians? Never rowed there myself but used to be a cox for Greenbank in the '80s when they held their regatta in the harbour. Did most the Westcountry regattas - Paignton used to be on a Tuesday or something odd wasn't it?
