most engines tend to run around 75-85 for optimum. Got to expect the temperature to go up a bit during the hot weather.

Are the fans working all the time. The rvf has a very compact motor crammed into a small space so it will run warm. If the fans arent going all the time then id say its fine.

In traffic my triumph heats up quite quickly and the fan cuts in and cooks my nads so i hate being in traffic or sat at lights but once moving it cools down quickly again :)

Same here, practically sat ontop of the rad. Waiting at busy lights/rail-crossing etc which has you there for 5min's or more gets my fan going. (ummm, no thats not a euphemism!)

Hi and welcome. 8)

On the summer ride out last week the temp gauge on my firestorm was reading 106 in the town traffic  then it drops to between 70-86 when its getting air to it at speed, No more than 70mph of course

Was a good run back bud, & i now lock the visor down before hooning it after that lifesaver at speed whipped it fullyopen. My eyes still feel like they're squinting.
