interesting to see the speeds - you hit 133 on the start/finish straight and 126 down the back straight. which is a fair whack when you consider how short and bumpy those straights are.

As for the contents of the vids - I think I saw scotty running on at the bus stop as well as yourself and then me having a token go at it before deciding the front was going to be to loaded and grass was the safer option.....looking it on the footage I think i did go in a tad over enthusaistically

I saw 129 mph on one of Deejs screens and as that is only 11 mph from the 140 mph i reckon i saw on my RR it proves its possible.

Ok some will say yours was only a 600 but i reckon i came out that bottom corner over 80 mph which was at least 10mph more then i saw Deej exiting on a bigger and heavier bike

Great vids Dave, but you never got one of me in the pic

thats cause you were always behind me breathing in the flames, well until i decided i didnt like the circuit layout

would say 140 was possible as i struggled to find a good line or confidence enough to really push it,wanted to enjoy all of the weekend :!:

for some reason the video ddint work when layne over took me on the way into the bus stop and then went straight onto the grass too, took scotty 3 attempts to pass me cleanly into there

stayed behind you on purpose to get the footage so you could see how you were riding, your lines looked fairly good and with confidence and a bit more speed you'll be fine.

it doesnt matter how fast or slow you are, once you step onto tracks then we are all in the same boat anyway, we are all faster than some and slower than others.

Very true ....... I was rather aprehensive of being in the inters group , but ended up really enjoying it - surprised at how many I managed to pass, and not passed too often either (probably a benfit of being a rather "Wide Load" being a fat b'stard with such wide bars)  Gotta learn to get a bit more confidence to lean a little further still - following you (even if you were "touring" ) in the very last session proved that

The wide bars and no steering damper were a bit interesting on the straights  but the bike surprisingly stable, all things considered 8)
Of all the things I have ever lost, I miss my mind the most .....

Handle stressful situations like a dog - If you can't eat it or play with it, pee on it and walk away

Eye whats been said is very true !

I think the key thing about a track day is it's not about how fast you go it's about how big your smile is when you come in off track :D

Deej, good footage but you can’t blame me for that Bus stop run-on.

maybe we should go to separate track days. :D
#152 Straights are for fast bikes. Corners are for fast riders
