its been awhile....

Post by jennthebiker »

hi everyone :-)

i haven't posted here in quite awhile... mainly because i don't have current plans on visiting anytime soon. :(

i don't know when i posted last but last summer i bought an 07 gsx-r600 and an 07 drz400-sm. i sold my sv650s' then.

the main reason for my post is that i'm in search of a recipe! (i know this is southwestbikers.com and not southwestbakers.com!) when i traveled through cornwall, i had a delicious pasty. it's taken me years but i'm craving it like crazy!

so its either i attempt to make them myself or book a flight to come over!

anyone have a recipe for authentic cornish pasties?

thanks in advance and ride safe!

it sure does sound like a great offer! if i cut out some road race track days and the supermoto track days i could probably afford to hop on a plane, rent a bike, and meet up for a pasties ride out!

hey speedy!

i thought i responded back in the day to you! *shrug* please take no offense! :)

i think i had the pasty right after you ditched me and left me to my own devices to get to Newquay. You can tell me if thats Bude or Ginsters?

Post up that recipe from home! I'm still craving!

I haven't found a sugardaddy for me yet to pay for my over the pond adventures!

I had 40k miles on my one sv and 20k miles on my 2nd sv when i sold them last summer. i already have 7k miles on the drz and 10k miles on the gixxer. what a good time!

we'll see if i can post some pictures on here....

here i am last month at a supermoto track day:

and no i dont touch very well.....

Ginsters are not cornish pasties  , there are just manufactured crap for the tourists  . trust me i should know. I have cornish parents and grew up on real pasties and stew that the spoon stood up in

i stopped at a fuel stop and picked up a pasty there. i'm not sure those ones are considered for the 'tourist' but it was might tasty.

who's going to give up the recipe though?!?!

http://kenanderson.net/pasties/cornish.html should give you a reasonable pasty. I prefer larger chunks of steak but it's all personal opinion.

there are 2 kinds of cornish pasties. not including the tourist stuff. My parents are "country cornish" ie they lived on farm, It had i think potatoes, swede, meat, margerine (i think) salt. NO carrots (ginsters have them) I dont know what else without asking her.

Oh and they were about 16" long and 6"wide so it was the whole meal in one
