It starts just the Exeter side of the Ruffwell Inn and ends just before Bickleigh, so if you're going that way in the next few days be prepared to get to know your rear brake.

Going to work this morning almost came acropper on the new road surface, they've gone the cheap route and just laid a load of gravel over some tar.

Re: Exeter Road Resurfacing
Mate they are all over Exeter doing it at the mo
Had to take the car to work this morn as bike is off the road and lucky i did as over night they laid that grippy beige stuff on a bend i love and we all know what thats like when new. All loose gravel.
But there was no warning signs anywhere. They normally are quite good with them but not this time.
Thanks for the heads up and take care

What some c##p that stuff is. No one keeps to the speed limit (expecially the lorries) showering everyone else in stones. They lay it over the white lines and then put more white lines on top causing a nice ridge, and put the stuff down in hot weather so it lifts and leaves patches and grooves.I know its down to cost, and they dont make much money out of us road users, do they

Re: Exeter Road Resurfacing
Do you think it would work if we all went on the Devon County Council website and reported the resurfaced areas as 'faulty road surfaces' using their on-line fault reporting form? Perhaps if enough of us did it, they might do something about it. Thoughts..???
Have a look at http://www.devon.gov.uk/bikers and click on the blue box..
