Waving Hello Madly
Waving Hello Madly
Hi
Lurked here for a while and thought it was time to pop my head up and say hello! Hello! My partner rides a GSR 600 and I have taken the plunge and done my CBT with view to doing Direct Access shortly. Looking around for a 125 in the meantime to blat about on and build up some miles under my belt. Took CBT on ER6 which was amazing to ride, loved every minute of it and the aim is to eventually get a Bandit or a Hornet, anything that will let me keep up with other half! Finding the whole thing very exciting albeit a little nerve wracking...... the streets of Taunton are a scary place in a car, let alone a bike!
Always been around bikes, my dad rode a Triumph Triton and BSA Bantam, my mum rode a Honda 400 4, uncle rode something absolutely huge that went like sh** off a shovel, other half has always had bikes and treated himself to this new one last year. So now its my turn!

Hi Sirona, welcome to SWB!
As and when you get a bike sorted, give us a shout - hoping to do a girlie ride sometime, for all size bikes
btw, can recommend the Hornet, but hey - I'm biased, ok?? lol

Well, thanks for all your welcomes! Good to be here at long last! I wasnt sure of the reception I would get, me being an 'L' plate girl and all that. Some people seem to think that you arent a real biker until you have passed your test which I think is pants. We all have to start somewhere!!
Fluffybunny - a girly rideout sounds good - hopefully getting my bike in next 2 weeks, going to see one next Saturday that I'm very keen on, a YBR 125, will get me on the road until my test at least, hoping to take test asap, its all dependant on what time my instructor can give me, they are so busy at the moment with the build up to the new test that it has been really difficult to get any time with him, he is very good though, Gordon of PRIDE of Taunton (plug, plug!!)

Re: Waving Hello Madly
hi ya and welcome, its true there are a few more girlies on here these days, good to see. Watch out for blimey, funky, bambam, dave, colin, blue, fester, johnbob, speedy and julian. Other than that you should be fine. I think its kim and smiler that are sorting the girlie ride. Be prepared for slow, steady pace, lots of coffee breaks and questions along the lines of 'why can't shopping bags fit on bikes ?'
