Re: Starting my own business
well ive never come across that product so I stand corrected, Ive fitted plenty of bike plates, but its not rocket science either way, I know plenty about using fastening stuff to other stuff though.
Anyway, I gotta make an apology to everyone, even my own girlfriend thinks Im a front bottom cos Im standing up for myself and getting pissed off with the lack of appreciation for ones effort to help others. So Im really sorry to everyone Ive offended and everyone whose read a word Ive ever said. Please can everyone not hold it against mel, cos shes more interested in making friends than standing by her bloke, guess she dont have any respect for me either.
Im a front bottom, yes I know, when people [censored] shit up I end up fixing it, but the moment Ive done it or try to help anyone Im back to being a front bottom again.
Mels great, shes nice to everyone, really friendly, she shouldnt be with me at all, were worlds apart, a real beauty and the beast relationship. So please please dont hold anything Ive said against her, if youve got a problem with me, let it stay with me.

Oh Boy
Jester must = son of Fester
and yes, there was an element of baiting in my answer
I wasn't saying there was a right or wrong way re. the drilling, just the way I do it ......
If you lack the knowledge (your answer to to me "Excuse my lack of knowledge") then why answer
As has already been pointed out this whole thing, and you getting upset, is over an answer to a question that was never asked
I have never seen washer between a number plate and a vehicle body/bracket, but if you have one must assume it is for exactly the reason you suggest
MOST modern car number plates, if not fixed by tape, are held in place by self tapping screws. If they are "illegal" you had better tell Ford, Vauxhall, and Peugeot that their franchised dealers are fixing their number plates illegally
It is possible to buy this amazing little "snap-lock" plastic capping device which are (surprisingly) available in yellow, white and black. On most of the recent cars I have owned it is physically impossible to get at the back of the bumper area to use a nut, as they are either foam filled or have a large blown plastic moulding to act as a stiffener for the ABS outer skin.
Remember the lady asked not how to fix a new plate, just how to remove the sticky foam gloop left behind, regarding me being a tw*t many would probably agree and I've been called far worse ......... and as for commenting on whether or not my arse is smart, that is an area for my wife or Bambam or Funky to decide

Re: jesta and tiggas number plate thing
moose i used tape and drilled from front to back.. pilot spot n everything...
ive had drill bits go wild before.. you learn from your mistakes...
n when i changed the front number plate on my car it was also self tappers... as you said.
imposible to get nuts on the back,
unless you want to remove the entire bumper
has this turned into southwest family arguements lately.

all jesta was doing was offering you an alternative to sticky pads. most sticky pad remains will come off with brake cleaner, wd40 or good old fashioned elbow grease and patience. fixing the plate on with screws is in theory a far more secure method of attachment than sticky pads as you would have realised if you had been bothered to read all of his 'idiots guide'.
i will keep this short as i know you 'can't be bothered' to read helpful advice if its over 5 lines long.
have fun sorting your own problems out in future because after your outburst here i doubt many will be forthcoming with advice or offers of help for you.
