Hello....
Hello....
Hi Guys (& Girls).
Just started biking 6 weeks ago at the tender age of 38. Did a 1.5 day access course at had my test in Exeter which I passed. Got myself a Bandit 650 and its a fantastic bike, but being closer to the 20 stone limit found it a bit sluggish. Been out and got an '08' plate bandit 1250 today and pick it up next week.
Sold the car, just recently got divorced, having a bit of fun and looking for a lot more.
Will hopefully catch up with you all in the SW area in the coming m onths and join you for a few rides.
Take care.
JP

Re: Hello....
Welcome to the site
As for the bike, just remember the sad old adages ...... the throttle goes both ways, don't over-estimate your limits, take it steady, take it steady don't become a statistic, etc., etc., etc.,
Other than that, glad you found bikes - better late than never - and just enjoy yourself
A lot of people may poo-poo them, but given your circumstances I'd recommend the "Bikesafe" course (ASAP)

Of all the things I have ever lost, I miss my mind the most .....
Handle stressful situations like a dog - If you can't eat it or play with it, pee on it and walk away

Re: Hello....
Thanks Guys...what I actually failed to say is that when I was 17 I lived abroad and had a GS1000G. ..... so its been more of a big gap to riding than never had a bike before. Used to do a lot of Motocross / Enduro as well - my last bike was a Maco 490....which was scary
