I'm confused.com....when the feck did havin a job stop you being sent to prison to be punished...well i say punished but ya know what i mean....i dont think it'll be long before we hear of thousands of appeals from people who where employed before they got sent to prison based on what this tw@ts idea of justice is...i dont think our justice system is at fault it's the brain dead blinkered monkeys who just aint in touch with the real world that are at fault

Re: 122mph compared to handbrake turn on the M62
No he was risking the lives of the other people using the motorway and came a lot closer to nearly killing someone than the plonker on the bike with his son
Re: 122mph compared to handbrake turn on the M62
he was risking alot more!Banditmax wrote:this guy wasn't risking the life of his son at the same time.
doing handbrake turns on a motorway towards on coming traffic putting alot of lifes in danger or 122mph going the same direction as the traffic.
i know the guy on the bike is in the wrong and shouldnt of done it but to me that is no where near as bad as the numpty chav in his car doing handbrake turns on a motorway.
to me i think your comment was pointless and has no opinion on the matter. sorry if it does though.

a lot of what people have written here i am afraid is very true, idiot car drivers like that should not be given back a license i reckon , if he has so little respect for his own life and others he needs locking up permanently for his and others protection , what he did was bordering on attempted murder i reckon, he needs psychiatric help to be honest. I have seen some stupid things a car doing stupid speeds the wrong way on the hard shoulder of the M 18 once, Idiot biker wheelying into the motorway in Belgium at 70mph , not a quiet motorway the Antwerp ring road during rush hour. to name 2, and it is about time that people realized driving is dangerous nowadays, and a driving licence is a privilege that can be removed if you act stupidly with contempt for other peoples safety, not a god given right to go out and act like an idiot

Re: 122mph compared to handbrake turn on the M62
only problem is tho that the arse holes that drive like that will do it with or without a licence. Sticking them in jail just increases 'cred' with friends and encourages them to do it more. I would prefer to see a different form of punishment for them, how about the stocks in the center of town ? Or if they have caused injury being made to clean up in a morgue ?

He was risking the life of others yes but those were others he didn't know, those of you with kids im sure will say that the safety of your own children comes above most things. Someone who is willing to risk the life of their child by riding faster in the rain evidently has a mindset that will allow him to do almost anything without caring about it. Thus the courts giving him a jail sentence to try and teach him that risking the life of his own son is very stupid and shouldn't be done again. Many court cases take into account the psychology behind peoples actions not just punishing them for the actions they did.Cb1-Wil wrote:he was risking alot more!Banditmax wrote:this guy wasn't risking the life of his son at the same time.

Yes the numpty "chav" in his car doing handbrake turns is still very wrong, but things have to be put into perspective here and not always be seen as "biker is always bad". To be honest why are we as respectable bikers backing up a guy who risks the life of his son on a bike, giving the rest of us a bad name? Its about time some people opened there eyes up just a little bit, i do agree bikers are treated unfairly but there are times when it is a fair point to give them the punishments they get.

im not sticking up for the biker. i cleary said he was wrong for doing it.
i think your views on the matter, are very blurred. to me it looks like your sticking up for the "chav".
i think the car on the m62 is a far worse matter than a biker doing that speed and before you say it yes i know he had his son on the back.
have you actually read the whole article?
"who has previous convictions for drink-driving and disorderly behaviour"
"After ordering her and two pals out of the car" kicked 3 people out of his car to stand on the motorway
"Oncoming cars swerve out of the way as Kirk then heads back towards the hard-shoulder, making a second handbrake turn and leaving his car again facing the wrong way"
"He punched and kicked the officer to the ground, knocking off his glasses" does this to a copper!
yes the biker might not be 100% angel but i reckon he is afar lot more respectable than the chav

just goes to show how subjective rather than objective and illogical the legal system is.

Agree entirely! Stocks would be a good one, public humiliation rather than, as you said, putting them in prison which just increases 'cred.' Shops could also get rid of their mouldy fruit quite easily...billinom8s wrote:only problem is tho that the arse holes that drive like that will do it with or without a licence.
