First track day? .. not a clue

deffo gonna start getting involved when i have myself a bigger bike. would someone mind explaining to me the basicas of track days.

i know you can rent bikes for them? can you use your own?..or would that not be a good idea..
do you have to have a full liscence? (im only 33bhp)
age? insurance? any of that matter?
how do you start off if you've never been near a track with a bike ever?

firstly, when are u planning on doing one, if itsnext summer not much point in starting this thread.

if u are gonna do llandow this year (ideal first track) then u wanna send a pm to speedy he can give u all the info u need on ages/licenses etc

Not quite true, you can get seperate track day insurance, but make sure you shop around, I have seen prices ranging from £35 to hundreds of £'s.

You really should come and do Llandow, because as Si said, best one to start off with, as it an easy track and its a very friendly atmosphere and you will know most peeps by then.

ah awsome i dunno when i was thinking of doing it really. just something i wanna do and i realised i dont have the slightest clue on how to approach it! it may not be this year as i havent really ridden any bigger bikes properly yet when is Llandow?
