hello everybody, been off the site for a while but been reading some of the posts with interest..this one has had me laughing..as a women who has been riding for 20 yrs..own bike passed test etc (should please andyals) can I just say that experience does come with yrs of riding, BUT I know that there are riders with lesser yrs of riding under their belt that can outride me, so if you can use observation and the right speed for the road and area, then your probably doing ok..and will stay upright for alittle bit longer. just thought I'd say that not all us "experienced" riders agree with the fact that newbies can't ride... I think the problem is for some of those that have been riding many years is that they don't understand the sports bike rider of today,,, but as i always say we are all on bikes and we are all subject to legislation,, just my opinion..no facts mentioned :-)

I haven't seen anyone write that newbies cannot ride.

Perhaps you could enlighten me and show me exactly where that was said  :?

Embarassed to say that I I didn't put my alarm clock forward.

I was just leaving at what I thought was 7.00 but it was 8.00, so I left it.

However if you or anyone else would like to make a private arrangement to meet up, then please feel free to PM me.

Look forward to that :)

Well Hells Bells :D I wonder why I said WHY lol It's been an interesting read. I would like to say my opinion what ever its worth

I have been riding since 1969 ahhhhhh you all say!! Not all the time every day as we all need cars sad it might be but for me its essential. Now I would consider myself a careful rider now that's not a slow one as I am a firm believer of driving or riding to the machines full potential. I know I can hear you all shout a Harley they don't go fast lol but is that what is the concern speed I think not its riding skills. Now I know if I Jumped on a sports bike  now that would be a laugh I would probably last about 10 miles before I came off. Are you seeing where I am coming from ? A young rider
would handle the bike better and would be able to react to the bike better than I could unless !! I spent a weeks course basically learning to ride again. Now for the bit that I expect a lot will disagree with. I just said he would be able to handle that bike better than me, but I do not think in some cases he is a better rider than me because of his age and dare I say it testosterone he is not riding fully focused and will not until he is older. Now you can shout me down but hey I am quite a big bloke I can take it honest lol. a couple more things  the other big reason of bike accidents is guys like me that used to ride what was fast in the 70's having spare cash and going out and getting a 180mph sports bike which is not much heavier than my mountain bike lol . So to them if there are any here that haven't done it go and get some lessons lol . Unfortunately the other reason for the accidents will not be here so I can't moan at them TWAT CAR DRIVERS !!
There said my bit but it has been a interesting thread.
