You are quite correct - ringing around they did ask the continuous length of time I've been riding (27yrs) .... but on your basis, I am 12mths older, another year more experienced, another year of claim/conviction free riding, my bike has devalued, and inflation & the cost of living has reduced since my last renewal ..... therefore by your assumptions my renewal premium should have come down rather than risen by 16%
Of all the things I have ever lost, I miss my mind the most .....

Handle stressful situations like a dog - If you can't eat it or play with it, pee on it and walk away

I don't know what your specific circumstances are.

Maybe your bike has gone into a higher risk category.

I dunno.

I've been riding the same amount of time as you, and my insurance dropped by a 50 quid this renewal.

The point is this.

Do you believe that your insurance would be the same or less, if you'd been riding 5 years, and not 27 ?

There are plenty of on line insurance quote services you could use to experiment.

Put in the same details as now, but change 27 years to 5, and see what happens to your premium then.
