Self Incrimination
I was thinking. If the Police can prosecute bikers on the basis of self incriminating evidence posted on sites like youtube, couldn't they also do the same to magazine road testers when they put photos of themselves in road tests pulling wheelies etc. on public roads ?

Re: Self Incrimination
There was one in yesterdays MCN about a photo and they just said it was performed by professionals in controlled conditions or something.
Bikeless again :/
Re: Self Incrimination
It'd be pretty easy to see if they were doing it on the road.thelastsuperpower wrote:There was one in yesterdays MCN about a photo and they just said it was performed by professionals in controlled conditions or something.
You'd see marking, road signs etc.
Controlled conditions or not, you cannot perform stunts legally on the public road, and if you're stupid enough too, and have a photo of yourself doing it and allow that photo to be placed in a national publication with your name attached to it ?

Well, why don't you go and investigate the legalities of it - you could take a whole week to do it - and by then you'd be able to claim that you are a specialist in this area of the law. After all, it only takes you a week to become an expert - I mean, commercial insurance for instance..

It would keep him quiet but just like last time if the figures don't prove him correct then he will keep quiet and forget all about it just like last time. Funny old thing...........Lady G wrote:Well, why don't you go and investigage the legalities of it - you could take a whole week to do it - and by then you'd be able to claim that you are a specialist in this area of the law. Re: Self Incrimination
there are places in the uk that have road signs but are not public highways, MOD bases is one example that springs to mind

Re: Self Incrimination
I did once get asked by a copper about the wheelie pic in my signature (was in my shop), as there was a car in the background so clearly a public road.
I invited him to prove it was me in the picture and he lost interest quite quickly after that
