Re: Your chance to HELP a good cause
Thanks folks and yes all done and completed
Big thanks to Colin for pain stakingly finding times. Don't know how you managed to get my number. Must of been that lovely wife of yours.
Big thankyou to her for pushing me on at the end from the sidelines, its was the most grueling last 3 miles i have ever run. Never felt that bad before but blame myself for setting to quick a pace throughout the run.
Was 2 mins up on my first 3 miles and then was gaining another minute every 3 miles after and felt great. Thought to myself this is going too well and at this pace i will be finishing in the 1hr 30's but lost 3/4 mins off my pace in the last 3 miles it just killed me.
Feet felt like heavy bricks and legs just didn't want to work, even sponging water over me made my T-Shirt feel really heavy and hard work to carry.
So great to see the line and proud of time.
Mrs managed a 2hr 18 which was awesome for her, she would of liked a sub 2hr 15 but been working so hard and struggled with the training but i felt she did wonderful.
Sorry about the essay but feel really chuffed and can't thank every who has helped and supported me enough.
Massive thankyou to you all and SWB has managed to raise over £100 for DEVON AIR AMBULANCE.
Will post up my grand total when i collected all sponser monies from work etc
Thankyou again
Mark
