Seem's to be a great increase in the number of "out-of-the-normal" type unmarked cars ...... time was the unmarked ones were still the same Volvo/BMW/Omega cars as the marked ones, but I saw a black Focus ST with lights flashing last week, there's a couple of silver Skoda's around, etc., cars one wouldn't normally "suspect" when coming up behind :?

Oh, and what happened last week to upset the Somerset & Avon boys :?
Of all the things I have ever lost, I miss my mind the most .....

Very true moose, the other week I saw a unmarked black imprezza near exeter on the m5

There seems to be a general increase in the amount of traffic cops all over the south west the last few weeks

I had a close call myself the other week, riding up the A30 towards exeter, decided to tuen off at Ottery for no reason, and infront were 2 silver skoda's, just noticed the blue D&C police sign on the rear quarter.
Could have been VERY painful.

Thank god for impulsion! lol

One thing I have noticed... they generally have a blind spot mirror on top of the wing mirrors.

I think I saw it parked up in Redruth Tesco ( just off the A30ish :D ) a couple of weeks ago. Darkened windows around the back of the car, two 'plain' clothed chaps in the front looking far too casual to be reps on a jolly  , didn't get the reg but certainly looked like the coppers.

Yep... normally just the passenger side... Same as the Black BMW in Taunton that the armed response cops use.
