I can see this ending in tears mate. The same old story when moving house, you go to take the furniture out the house but it doesn't fit past the doors as it was built inside the room it now lives

Hope you get my meaning mate as i would hate for you to take apart all that hard work.

Looking good by the way

I rebuilt my Kat in the spare bedroom once, then realised there was no way it was going down the stairs in one (or even two) pieces

Well, some good news and some bad news.

Took the bike back out into the garage today so she would be ready to fire up and, did the oil and coolants.

Didnt put the airbox on, and just put some fuel into the carbs.

Bingo, she fired up nicely...............................BUT THEN

she burst into flames ontop of the engine, and I couldnt put her out.

Melted the main loom and also most other wiring

The twat who put the carbs on didnt do them up and just sat them on the engine, so the fuel went straight through and sat ontop the engine and as she started a flame came out of the carb and ignited the remaining fuel, then also caught my measuring jug alight which had about 1 inch of fuel in. Was a real twat to put it all out.

Not a happy bunny now, as I have to rebuild the wiring looms and see what other damage has been caused.

I imaging the mrs' is grateful you actually took it out of the front room  I can see the insurance claim form now ..... "yes, the claim is for new carpets, wallpaper, side-board, sofa, .... basically a whole new front room ..... Why? well I started my motorcycle in the front room and ..... "

Good luck Phil
