About time these sort of things were shown, problem is the mentality of 'it won't happen to me' is still too prevalent.

The girls would have all died from AIDS anyway and spread it onto others and the parents would probably have got divorced in the near future as a result of the pressure put on them by the children, who would have been used as pawns in the parent's power struggle with eachother.

So in the end, sending one text saved alot of pain and heart ache

i think the vid was ok, still a bit 'thunderbirds' tho.

warning films like these should be made with info, footage and stills from genuine RTC's that was the true horror of what can happen will be apparent. nowadays anyone watching that will think, hmmm, ahh well actors are all safe n well.

real life is what the target audience need, big brother, celebrity love island dancing on ice while cooking and living in prison has made methods of keeping attention shift, about time these things were acknowledged rather than some out of date bureaucrat deciding whats right.

rant over, hope the film works on some level

You need to understand Funky and his warped sense of humour ...... what you get for messing around inside peoples heads for a living I suppose

As for teh vid - graphic, yes. Will it make many people think much different, I doubt it  Unless people have seen or been directly involved in an RTA they won't really understand what it's like. Few people really think through the full implications of their actions on the road (including me  )
Of all the things I have ever lost, I miss my mind the most .....

Sadly moose is right about the video and my sense of humour. The only way to actually get people to change is an experiencial method. Granted yes the video does highlight the dangers yadda yadda yadda. But most will not have the emotional and attentional connection it requires to commit the video to long term memory in a way that changes behaviour patterns. Particularly amongst people who cannot identify with the characters.

A better way would be a virtual environment in which the person is involved in a crash due to either answering the phone or being a passenger with someone who does.

But then you'd probably get some people claiming PTSD for a stupid reason that is blatantly fake.

Was that a better answer Kevin?

i think a bit of the old darwin selection sums this video up nicely.

if they are stupid enough to use a phone whilst driving and then have a crash due to their actions then they cant bleat about it afterwards.......assuming they survive.
the only bad point is if they injure/kill someone innocent in the process

besides most of the target audience this ad is aimed at will not take any notice of it anyway.

is it me or does the baby look a bit like chucky anyway........creepy

Thats it, I doubt many people would give a toss if anyone crashes their car while they are texting or whatever and only hurts themselves.

Some people dont seem to realise that whatever they're driving is a lethal weapon :?
