What to say to this?

Post by Milky »

This guy has been driving a few months and is a typical exmouth seafront fiesta driver with duck-taped on back box etc.. he's selling the car.. not quite sure how to reply to this..

"Sam Jolliff: Thanks Forr The Dickhead Comment. Il have you no i havnt had her very long and shes a full service history. your aloud to floor it once in a while its good for the engine :)

Tom Milankovic: how in any way is it good for the engine?

Sam Jolliff: because people who drive like grannys clog the engine up.. when you drive it hard it clears all the valves and release burns allot of the shitty deposits ;)"

i must ad he doesnt floor it once in a while. i've never seen someone drive like such a twat.... ever.

anyway back to the subject. i cant think of anything cnutish enough to say back.. mainly because i dont really know [censored] all about cars. (as jack will know)  Is he right or not? I'm assuming it's only in extreme cases where opening it up with 'clear the valves' etc not on a crappy little fiesta/zetec or wtever the funk it is and he's just giving an excuse to drive like a penis.?..

Anyway.. if he's so concerened about keeping his engine good.. he would have had the engine balanced/fuelling set up correctly etc for the engine to run properly with the lump of metal he's got bolted on the end of his zorst?..or this only mainly with bikes?....

Letting a car rev out and go once in a while might have some beneficial effect but things like that only really clog up when driven by real granny's not taking there cars above 30mph etc. Most bikes are still using technology for injection systems that car's had way back in the 90's. They run open loop control and they don't sense what the fuel mixture is doing and change it. His car will most probably be running closed loop and be able to adjust for the small amount of extra flow that the back box is giving him, although he most probably didnt even consider this before fitting anything. And i assume by balanced you mean carb balancing, most cars run a single throttle at the end of the manifold so no balancing to be done. If you mean engine balancing then it would be a very expensive process which is definately not needed for just adding a chavvy back box.
