our Vectra is up for MOT next month so we had it done early. Failed on emissions due to the cat so ordered new front pipes. Was driving it the other day when the e/m light came on. Kept driving it cos thought and still do that it was due to the cat. Then on the way home from Exeter just as you come into Axminster KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK and 20mph. Limpt it to the nice folks at Country Motors. Tis fooked, low compression.
We were gonna sell it once through the MOT and have spent loads on it, at least we hadn't had the pipes done yet.
Anyway we're looking for another car for no more than £1500 Vectra, Avensis, A4 (i wish)

Mike,
I know someone who is having to scrap a Vectra because of an imobiliser fault (£1k to fix on a car valued at £1.5k), but the thing is they put a replacement motor in it just before Christmas ...... I can ask if they still have it if you wish

Of all the things I have ever lost, I miss my mind the most .....
