i had a gilera dna 50 when i was 16 it was so much fun.
the best bit about it is that i looks like a real bike and it has helmet storage...a bit of both worlds. i could fit my full face helmet in no problem.
it is twist and go so its a no brainer on how to ride.
of all the 50s out there i would definitely recommend this one

Sorry for a late reply to this post but it is not too late for us to help. As well as helping people get to work and training we are also running a scheme in conjunction with Devon County Council called Wheels 2 Learn at a reduced rate. This is intended to help people get to college who have exactly the problems you have described. We are currently arranging the CBT's and distributing the Yamaha Neos's now so if you are still stuck please give us a ring on 01409 220357 as there are a few still available.
Devon Wheels 2 Work no longer use CPI's as previously mention our fleet are now Yamaha's.
Thanks, but we're sorted now - got him a lovely little TSX50
How well have you publicised yourself with the more rural schools/colleges? - I know at places like Clyst Vale Community College with the "up to" year 11's something like 70% of the kids come by school bus, but when they stay on to the 6th form, you have to pay something like £380 for a bus pass, that often doesn't suit the students timetable ...... Try giving someone like Chris Dormand (head of CVCC 6th form) a call, I'm sure there are many kids who would benefit from the scheme but just don't know about it
Of all the things I have ever lost, I miss my mind the most .....
Handle stressful situations like a dog - If you can't eat it or play with it, pee on it and walk away
