tidying up your swing arm

over the years with the use of the paddock stand the swing arm on my ninja has picked up loads of small marks and scratches, really spolis the look of it!

is there anyway i can tidy this up at home? i use the bike everyday so cant take the bike to bits and take the swing arm off to give to anyody to sort out or have the bike off the road, any advice would be great

First we'd need to know what the finish is, Steel, Alloy, Painted, Plated, Anodised.... and a picture so people can see the extent of the damage.

Put up a pic and I'll probably be able to tell you which paint to use. I'll be able to tell you how to do it as well, without taking many/any bits off. It's easy enough to do and doesn't take too long.

The zx6/9 s around 99 were more gold but called kawasaki frame silver. The closest you can get is abenco argento (spelling).

but then I looked and saw what bike he hap and yes the 7s are silver


fill it if needed
rub down with 240 grit then 400 grit
Prime
i think those have black under so add a light dusting of satin
spray with simoniz wheel silver blending it in to the good paint

Use paper/masking tape to cover the wheel etc and thinners to remove any overspray
When doing these local cosmetics it's always easier when using a heat gun/hairdryer between aplications, but gently
