New biker based in Torquay

Post by cbrr_newbie »

Hello everyone. A couple ofmonths ago i bought myself a 2006 cbrr600 in orange and black (will try and get a photo up, couldn't work out how to do it now) and she is gorgeous. I passed my test last year and bought myself a brand new kawasaki z750, which i then wrote off within 2 days. Back on a bike now and loving the new beast but looking for people to ride with. Not a maniac rider and still learning a lot but obviously that kind of bike doesn't want to be ridden slowly. I'm 24 ,in the military and based in Plymouth in the week but i make my way back to my home town of Torquay most weekends. Looking for people to ride with who can show me the good local roads and maybe teach me a thing or two so i can ride my bike the way is was meant to be.

Hope to hear from some of you soon,

Luke

Hello matey welcome to the site,
Nice choice of bike but go steady they can bite ya when you least expect it
The best and safest place to learn to ride quick and in a safer enviroment is on the track and there are always track days being done by peeps on here.
There are always rideouts being organised as well like the one this sunday leaving Bridge garage at 6am. It will be a spirited ride so quick but not stupid.
Anyway enjoy the bike and hopefully see you out soon
Now riding a Tuono V4 1100 😀

Cheers mate and very nice bike yourself. I would be there with bells on sunday but unfortunately on exercise for a couple of weeks. When i'm back i'll have a look on the ride out notice board and come along and say hi. Thanks for the advice as well, definately need to get myself on a track day at some point

Hello Tom,
pretty much, a grand old mixture of new tyres, cold roads, an eager right wrist all blended with a bit of inexperience did £4000 worth of damage to a £5000 bike. Woops  Never mind, back on the road now and (touch wood) so far so good
