Dont confuse what the worlds best racers wear to what is sold. James Toesland may have a set of BKS leathers but they are no way an off the peg suit or even of the same design.
As for Arlen Ness, there on par with most off the peg suits, just make sure they fit well and dont forget that you'll need space for a back protector. Ive had 3 Arlen Ness suits in recent times and they crash reasonably well, the main thing for me is that they fit. I tried BKS off the peg but didnt find them as snugg. A good rule of thumb is the heaver the suit the more protection you'll get. Stay away from Roo hide, they seem to be a waste of money and if you want the best get made to measure.
