No defrosting agents just a flood and skid sign.

Prehaps a warning sign could be common sense (not that funky has any of course... )

Its pretty bloody cold outside now, so you would expect it to probably be icy - especially with that much water on the road - any salt grit would probably have been washed away anyway...

Im bloody sick of this nation we live in where everyone feels like they must claim from someone for their own stupidity. Im probably a bit sour but thats becuause i partially work in the insurance industry and im totaly fed up of idiots coming in wanting to claim becuase they were too stupid to read the signs....

On another note - hope the bikes not too bad Funky! Im sure Gav will rub better any wounds you may have picked up!

To be honest Varc i'm with you on that one. I even said to the missus the night before that it would probably be icy, just one of those. If need be I'd leave it up to the insurance company, but I'm not going through them.

varc, natural ice is fair enough, who do you claim off, god ?

when its caused by a burst water main then the water board have a duty of care to fix the problem or make peeps aware that theres a issue that theyre fixing. if this wasnt up then funky had a perfectly good reason to claim off them for damages. As there was a sign up stating there was a issue it will be too had to prove negligence.
