NURBURGRING 2011

Post by Red5 »

OK boys and girls, The new 675 needs to be chrisyened and will be heading down to the Nurburgring in 2011. Dates etc yet to be confirmed.

I've been 4 times now and like to think I have it pretty sussed. Have hotel in the town of Cochem with secure bike parking.
There's usually 4 of us that go and have a dam good time.

The usual itinery depending on when we can make it, peole have families, kids etc, depending on track opening times usually out by mid Feb...

Can stay up near Dover and get an early train over on the tunnel, then do any one of various routes. Always a giggle. fantastic twisties etc, combined with some mile munching autobans. (From Calais, can get to hotel within 4 hrs if autoroute/autoban all the way)

Arrive at Cochem. If up for it, explore the area, find the ring, wonder at the amazing roads.

Meals, beverages etc. then make it all up as we go.
We enjoy a pre breakfast, empty road morning thrash with empty glorious empty roads.

We usually go over Friday morning and return back home Tuesday, bit of a sprint weekend but great fun.

For more general nurburgring info, I like to use Ben Lovejoys site http://www.nurburgring.org.uk .
Just putting the idea into your heads.
But it is a great trip and recomend every one does it as part of their bucket list.

Hope some of you could be up for it....
Don't care who you are, how much you have, how powerful you are. You still sit on the toilet with your pants around your ankles. Yep, it's a level playing field..
