Have a look at the Suzuki SV650N & Kawasaki ER6N.

Gs500. As a fairly small female biker I found it to be spot on! Having now bought myself a bigger more powerful Kawasaki it doesn't really compare, but as a starter bike to build up ur confidence I couldn't of wanted anything more! Had great fun learning on it. Jamie-Lou

I did my A2 bike test on my brand new Aprilia RS125 back in 2001, instructor was worried about my turning circle until I showed him that I could do it in 1 lane which I can't do too well on my Bandit 12 which has a better turning circle! Got round the corner and plugged the wire back into the box for 35bhp on a 33bhp license! Great bike but buy new and look after it.
