Seems like a nice enough fella but if you've had that many offs including friends in choppers, think I'd sooner stay at home & smash myself in the face with a hammer.
I laughed so hard at this bit, thats for all your Get well soon's looks like August Bank Holiday will be my first ride after accident got some mates off to Porlock but I might, don't think I will be allowed to go to the Friendly RideOut

Either way Thumbs Healing Nicely ... I enclose a few images

Before (this side still looks like this)

After, Just a load of scratches and a refusal to start!

Least it hasn't put you off, so far i've had two spills, one of which was avoidable & quite a learning curve, but hell i was enjoying every second until the last few...and have to admit, still would rate 2 wheels over 4 ! One thing i did find was alchol is a gr8 pain reliever ; ) .. The other was that road side barriers aren't very receptive to fleeting cuddles. ;;)

lol yeah iv noticed that before bit like curb stones lol and just general tarmac lmao :D

Well Update... Bikes Written off and won't be riding it appears until September at soonest, my thumb needs longer to heal than a standard break because of the screws in it. I got my payment and its enough that'll cover me paying back the debt on my bike but I'm looking at like too little to buy a new bike straight away so I await the bad weather the summer being over and people shifting their bikes for christmas money to buy the little ones Lego :)

So if you see me give me a flash, I currently salute bikers with my splint on my left hand ... and soon'll be returned to the likes of an old S reg Civic, the one that gives way ;) Not one of this Hot Civics that think they can have you, I've been on a bike now, the acceleration is unmatchable by anything I can afford.

Either way next year, possibly late in this year you will find me with my Yellowness zooming around grinning again but not in the forseeable future. Ride Safe guys, I won't be on here much it only annoys me knowing I can't be on a bike lately let alone afford one. Wish I'd never told the insurers and brought her home and fixed her myself. Ahh well you live and you learn.

*Gives you guys 1 and 3/4 Thumbs as thats about as much movement as I can manage*

See you all in the Fall/Winter?/Spring

Mr William :)

Sorry to hear about the bike (and your thumb!!) prob for the best that it got written of than you trying to fix it up - there will always be others out there, as and when you are able to ride and can afford another bike :)

Take care, and hopefully someday we'll see you back here with a shiny new steed

Now, Now boys ... it's iPhone and auto-correct

My banterous self is still in one piece as you can see but I'm really hoping they count those as my 3 things. Thumbs close to heal point enough to not be in a splint 24/7 too so atleast I'll be driving and I'm going to get myself a set of Custom Yellow Leathers (Yes before I get the new bike :P ) With my birthday funds plus my own pocket as it'll kill me if I have a new bike and can't ride it, the only things that made it through my slide was the boots and the Jacket at a push but if anything is learnt from this accident was that the right gear saved me a lot of skin and bruising and potentially a lot more breaks.

I'll get the new helmet either at the South West Motorcycle show at westpoint or if I get a bike I'll pop in CMS or something. Either way I'll be back on these Devon roads eventually.

On a side note does anyone know when the South West Motorcycle show is going? Fancy taking me in on Pillon with a spare helmet when I go to look at the shiny new things and I really can't find anything about it at all online at the moment, like anyone ride past the massive sign and see it dated on there?

Anywho back to the healing process, you know morning the loss of my Bike, Appendix and still some mobility in my thumb :')
