I think ul find a one piece is the safest item of motorcycle clothing...more than likely why people wear them... to the people who do ride past with half an inch to spare with the front in the air go away ride ur own ride don't try to end mine!

Nah, I agree with Jason - anyone dressed like a power ranger deserves to be treated like one

I make a special point with smaller bikes to get nice and close, then just as I pass blip the throttle - if the noise doesn't make them jump out their skin, the exhaust pulse will blow them over instead Anyway, if they don't hear me coming they need a kick up the a*se anyway

I will return to the road in full leathers after my off as I think the tatty ripped knee and scraped jacket (both textile) and scratched helmet'll just not be a good look to me. I love riding, gutted about my off and want to be back soon. I always gave room for the "Power Rangers" but even once I return to the roads as the Yellow one I don't think I'll act differently. My Bike'll always be loud and I'll be able to keep up, I've just never been a leader so I'm used to you Blippers and high revers passing me with your revs so loud for a change I don't just hear my own bike.

I just the suprise you guys get when for the next 20 minutes you can't loose me off your mirrors in "a safe distance". Mopeds though and don't get a nod, and Tshirters get nothing too. Its just irresponsable not to be protected imo

I judge all bikes to be quicker than me and if they're not I re-overtake them but the as to judging it comes from how you ride as well as what you ride with me and I'm a newbie

i once watched something on youtube (which i cant find now) that showed film of the injuries that motorcyclists received when not wearing protective clothing. They were not just sportbike riders but ALL sorts and the horrible injuries especially with losing most of their skin was quite an eye opener.
Personally i never ride without my leathers, i dont care what impression it gives, i literally just want to save my skin!, and though we ride a sportbike, if the newer faster riders want to go haring past us, well let em it doesnt bother me.

have a think about how many racers/journalists have lost their lifes not on the track but on the road riding silly bikes like mopeds, Ronnie Smith of PB fame is one who springs to mind. Could pull awesome wheelies n do stuff on a bike i could only dream off yet died on a moped going to get a pint of milk for the office

you wear what you want to wear and takes your chances, until its law to wear protective gear theres not a lot else that can be done but leave people get on and ride in what they want to wear

personally i think gloves should be made a legal requirement alongside helmets
