Going to pop down tonight for fish and chips and a nosey. Not managed to get down there this year yet,and seeing as the nights are starting to draw in now, thought we'd better take this oppurtunity whilst the weather is being kind.
Went last year when it was on Nothe Fort, and managed to turn up on the only night it wasn't on due to a concert

I went a few weeks ago on way back from Wootton and was less than impressed

Save your fuel and go to Paignton

Bit late, that was last week :)): . Wasn't much going on but it still had a better atmosphere than Weston. I think Paignton might be a bit far for a bike night from Shepton. ;)

Interested in the comment about Weston.. What is it you found lacking about weston. We had over 650 bikes last week and atmosphere seemed pretty good considering where we were.

For info the rest of westons will be back by the wheel now that the Steam fair left on Monday. Which means you have more Cafes within easy walking distance and Scallys round the corner.

When I went to Weston it was right out the end by the miniture railway totally detached from all signs of life. It almost felt like being treated like a load of lepers,as if the bike night wasn't really wanted in Weston. Every other one seems to be near civilisation and gets the public involved and walking around aswell. Shame it couldn't be along the promenade out by the pier somewhere.Guess there's only so many bike nights/meets you can go to until everything starts to look a bit "samey" anyway.

Unfortunetly the organisers hands are tied by the Council, But we are now going to be back at the start of the Beach Lawns which is just across from the Weston Wheel. We had to move to the other end due to Carters Steam Fair taking over the Lawns during August. They were offered another location but it wouldn't have had the room.

It seems the council have been getting complaints over August from the retired people who live in the flats opposite the Beach Lawns saying they were missing the bike nights!!!

Hopefully the last 4 events will be well supported. See below for dates and Enertainment. This is in addition to the stalls that are pitched up by traders. Plus we are close to the Cafes again and Scallys(Bikers Pub) is round the corner.
