Yes, it'll definitely need re-mapping for a full system so be prepared to fork out for a Power Commander and fitting and dyno time for it. Are you racing it? If it's just for the road, why bother? If you want to a more powerful bike, a much easier way is to swap the 600 for a Gixxer 750 of the same era - much better road bike

Re: Yoshi R55 Full System
Why do you say that it does and needs a power comander ?
As the other feed back I am getting from people is that I don't so as you can guess I am a little confued even Yoshi don't advise to if it needs to be re-mapted.
Ive spoken to a couple dealers who 1 says nope will be fine and another that have given me bad feed back in the past says yes.

Generally as soon as you swap anything other than end can, and sometimes even then, you start messing with back pressure and therefore PC required no point swapping can for more power if it actually takes it away...

Why spend all the money on a full system to not have it set up properly, for full benefit you need to allow for atleast time on the and maybe a PC5 too, a standard system will probably be better than a poorly setup race system.

Why bother Colin? No offence but you don't ride anywhere near the limit of the tyres let alone needing more power, PC is needed on any FI bike in my books, makers leave a big gap in power to get through regs, money well spent. No point putting full systems on bikes these days because the R&D in bikes these days they try and get as much as BHP as poss. If you want more power do what I'm doing and swap engine for bigger one.

Re: Yoshi R55 Full System
Hey leave my riding out of it! I ride fast when I want to and gone steady when on my way to work as thats when accident happen.
After reading many of reviews and asking other form rooms about the system and the fed back I am getting is,
The only time it would need to be pluged into the Yoshi box/ power comanders would be if there is a flat spot at the very high red line limt which is a 20%.
To be honest I have looked at changing but its just not something I can do at this time and I am sure its the same for most people out there right now
(plus its October no one buys a bike this time of year
you should know that nik lol)

Re: Yoshi R55 Full System
At the end of the day it's your bike and your money, so you can do what you like
there are plenty of bikes out there with far more power than the riders can ever use (
) yet that doesn't stop them wanting to spend more money on them ...... and even if you don't rag it round ever corner it doesn't mean you can't enjoy the straight-line rush
However, to the question in hand, I have no idea what the Yosh system will do to your bike but even if it doesn't make the fuelling any worse than it is now (unlikely) you certainly won't get the full benefit of the system without getting it mapped. My bike ran when I fitted the yosh headers to it, but it certainly wasn't as good as with the stock system. A PC2 with a generic map made an improvement, but a custom map is where it's really at - not just for performance/outright BHP but more importantly for driveability and smoothness (I wish I could say economy too, but I don't think 33-35mpg could be termed economical in anyones book
). Personally I would suggest just cans if you don't want the hassle of mapping, or even cans and a PCIII, but if you go the full system route you really should budget for a re-map too ;)
