Fastastic afternoon for a couple of hours blat

Post by Picks »

From Plymouth upto Callington , over thru Gunnislake , round that cracking r/h up hill bend just over the Tamer from Gunnislake thru Tavy then cut off to Cadover bridge down Borry hill and home . Took it easy ish on newish tyres but fook didnt me and the zed thou need it .

Stange one tho going towards gatso on the opp side of the road i swear the thing flashed me , now its a static and on t'other side of the road so i was 'oncoming' as it flashed , not a silly speed mind maybe 35 / 36 . Been pastv it many times and never seen it go off before , no distance marker lines on my side .

Yep. Awesome day of riding, went out at about 10 and got back just gone 6.30 (had lunch obviously), met someone in a corner near the big exeter/sidmouth/m5 roundabout on a street triple 675 i think with red frame glasses but I may have imaginged that, just wanted to say if ur on this forum and happen to read this... We should do that again sometime, great little friendly burn. (Also that tuned nissan gtr.... what a mental car! nearly killed me earlier as well while he was drifting everywhere)
Picks - I'm not sure quite which camera you mean but that sounds pretty normal, they alternate cameras in areas (not very often) thats how they catch people out. But hey, you went through front first, so :ymdevil: iss alll goood!!! I'de just be happy you wern't going the other way. (though could it have been a reflection off the lense from the sun behind you? just an idea)

I had a couple of hours out too (there ya go Layne...... :)): hehehe xx)

Lottie and her stable mate, kicking her heels in this gorgeous February sunshine!

You could tell it was VERY early in the season ~ followed a trio of 125's along a main road for a while (they were behind a lorry having a chat - like you do -) before the most unimaginable stupid overtake into the path of an oncoming tanker!!!!! Tanker locked up (and prob s*** himself too)

anyhoo.....more bimble with Lottie.....then! A poor girlie biker who had shoved her street triple into the back of a brand new Range Rover :( :( :( a broken finger and a sorry looking bike....

Fab to be out, and plenty making the most of the sunshine but (and at the risk of sounding wayy toooo sensible) can we all just be careful out there??

fank u

Smiles

xx

Yup there was a few out this afty , nice guy on summat big with panniers pulled over to let the zed nip past on the long stright going into Gunnislake so he got a nice friendly thumbs up as i pulled infront , Borringdon hill was as greasy as ever but so not slippy so i couldnt whiz past a chav in a blinged up saxo who stuck his toe down , dont do overtakes if i cant see plan B if it goes tits up but something warming about flying past a burberry baseball cap , like having a really good chicken n mushroom pot noodle when yer starvin .

View looking down the Tamar towards Plymouth from Gunnislake is fantastic , well worth slowing up at tad . Gotta say i have always have big faith in the Qualifier 2 tyres even after the turtles head moment but they always pull manage to bite , this is my 3rd set on the thou .

At that rate you'll be being sponsored by insurance companies asking you NOT to go on ride outs ;) , they follow wherever you go :D :D

Well I never got out today after refitting my back wheel it was a bit late and I had to do a weeks worth of washing up I'v been ignoring :)) :)) :))

Working late and housework don't mix ;)
Cut me in half and I'v got Suzuki written right through me!

You know what , i really only ever ride with my pal . I did a supermoto weekend in the lakes about 5 years ago , maybe 12 / 15 bikes and i felt out of my comfort zone and didnt really enjoy it . You know when you get back and you get a mo and you think "Hmm more luck than good judgement no-one came a cropper" put me off riding in more than a pair . Having said that my mate took me off three years ago , bloody Ford Ka stopped dead in the road around a 90 degree bend , i stopped on the zed but my mates KTbooM didnt and his handlebars found my kidneys at about 20 mph , down i went 3k worth of cosmetic to the zed and the worst back ache ever . My pal ended up in the hedge with his bike on top of him without a mark on it bar a few hedge trimmings ! The woman in the car got out looked at us , got back in and drove off . He never bragged about how good ktms brakes are after this lol .
