Just a note.

When it comes to porlock hill there are two routes.

Route 1, straight up the hill and round the bend.
route 2, take the scenic route up, it's not steep but will cost you a toll of £1.50

There is a point at the top where the two routes meet and we can carry on as normal.

I will lead those that want to take route 2.

Hopefully we'll be ok weather wise - the Met Office were predicting heavy rain but now they have changed that to "showers". Fingers crossed hey! Roll on Sunday morning, am looking forward to this one! :)

Weather reports are absoutley shite for the next 7 days and so far this week they have been spot on!!! Not looking good but who knows, maybe the sun will come out to play as last year was a bliniding day and this has got to be one of the highlights of the years rides!! I will be at macdonalds at 7 am stuffing my face hopefully so come on in and join me those who are leaving from newton!! I would think that we will be leaving at 815 to meet up with Si at ashcombe for around 825 like last time!?

I had a chat about timings with Simon last night, and the consensus was people should be back in Exeter somewhere betweem 14.00 and 15.00 (ish) dependant on weather, progress and stopping times :D
