Look in here for local ride outs...

Forum rules
You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.

Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

Sounds good, I'll stay about on the forum as I'm on here most days anyway and we'll talk nearer the day, I'll probably text or call the day before to arrange a meet with you to ride to tesco if you'll fancy that.

Due to a lot of last minute riders signing up we thought it may be worth reminding people of what they are in for:
billinom8s wrote:Yep, doing it again.

Gonna go visit the pixies and wake up the locals.

I think the times we worked on this time (2012) worked pretty well so will run it the same, route down and up to be confirmed.

By doing it this early in the year hopefully it will be a litle lighter for the start off plus if it's cancelled we have more chance to get a good date in later in the , ahem, summer. :ympray: :ympray:

For those of you thinking of coming along for the first time here is the link from the last one to see what you will be letting yourself in for..... :-bd
viewtopic.php?f=37&t=91949&hilit=rttb" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
viewtopic.php?f=37&t=90655" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
If you've not done it before definately check out the above links, its a long day, so be prepared.

Also just to remind you all, although its at posted speed limits, there are a lot of miles to fit in, so its ran at a swfter pace than a standard 'Friendly'. There will be a T.E.C. (tail end charlie ;) ) but junction marking is done on a follow the leader style e.g. everyone does it! When you are directly behind the leader ( Billinom8s or myself, badgerkdd ) then we will point at the junction needing marking, please pull in, direct everyone to the route, then join the T.E.C and the pack will continue to rotate :D .

Everyone is more than welcome and we won't leave anyone behind, but please bear the above in mind if you are in two minds about whether this run is for you or not.

Thanks everyone, now 'Pray for Sun' :D :D :D !!

Here's the route

https://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?msid= ... fc7d&msa=0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

hope the link works, it's similar to last year, there might be a couple of tweaks on the day but that's pretty much it.

approximate collection/leaving times

EXETER MOTORWAY SERVICES............LEAVING 0345 :shock:

NEXT

DRUM BRIDGES ROUNABOUT A38..........LEAVING 0400

NEXT

SHELL GARAGE/ROUTE 38 AT TRERULEFOOT..........LEAVING 0450

NEXT

TESCOS GARAGE, ST AUSTELL...............LEAVING 0530

Times are of course approximate but if you aim be at one of these places 10-15 mins before the departure time you you should be safe.
No one will leave a staging point until the main group has arrived.

IF YOU WANT TO MAKE IT EARLIER, THAT'S FINE BY ME :!! \m/ I DON'T MIND STARTING 15-20 MINS EARLIER. :!! :D
