I did ask this recently on the zxr world forum seeing as it's for the bike I own but it seems nobody can give me any advice and as this forum is more lively I might get a better response here!
Ok, so I still have the ZXR400L9 The front suspension has been adjusted and suits me better but still my current rear suspension setup is too hard for my weight as it was setup for a much heavier rider, with me being only 7.5 stone without gear i'm looking to change the shock spring to better suit my weight and riding. I could wind it out and put it back to factory settings but as it is looking untidy anyway I ideally want to change it and changing it for something more suited than a standard spring would be a bonus
My BF has changed his spring on his RSV from only a 9.5 to 9.0 and it has made a world of difference, so we came up the idea to change mine to something different, but are a bit stuck on the right kg rating
Does anyone know what kg rating spring might suit me best?
I'm looking for road riding not racing settings
Thanks

Re: Changing rear shock spring
Kwaks tend to have a harsh suspension setting as standard, my advice would be to get Steve at Peak Performance to set it up. I always use him to set suspension settings, and he should be able to advise you on what spring you need.
