I got a sneaking suspicion that the reason they don't test the tyres there is something to do with the nature reserve and the penguins.

I've been to Phillip Island, the nature reserve for the penguins is a good 10km away, and on the south west of the island, the circuit is on the east. Fabulous place, just wished I was there when there was racinggoatpants wrote:I got a sneaking suspicion that the reason they don't test the tyres there is something to do with the nature reserve and the penguins.

Re: what a race
Post race interview with Bridgestone rep said Dorna had not scheduled any test time there, so they were flying blind. To be fair Dunlop had the same problems with Moto2 tyres, so I think its Carmen and his flunkys who need to shoulder the blame for the whole farce.
Its funny though, I sent a text to Burnthouse on Saturday evening mentioning it wouldn't surprise me if Marquez pushed the lap allocation to try to get ahead, annnndddddd look what happened, they reckoned it was a lap mis- count, thinking they had 11 laps not max of 10, but personally it wouldn't surprise me if there was a bit of 'accidental' mis- understanding, just so Honda could wrap up Marquez's title this weekend.
fair play to Crutchlow, Bautista and Rossi, that was racing worth watching
!
