Ride out Sunday 17th- Cornwall, all comers!

Post by badgerKDD »

Right then people, as I can't make the Friendly, and this will be one the last few free weekends before Christmas I'm going for a blast on the Sunday 17th November.

So as we also have some new members from further up the County I'll start the run at Fraddon McD's overflow carpark, 10 am meet, leaving by 10.15 am. Route will be decided nearer the time, taking into account weather and road conditions. Pace will be decided by who turns up, I'm happy to ride to the pace of the slowest rider, its more about bendy and twistiness as opposed to all out Banzai speed fest :)) .

I'm expecting to ride for a good few hours, not all day but until mid afternoon at least, back before dark mind ;) .

OK stick your name down or text me etc.

Cheers, Badger :D .

Well, I was thinking of going the twisty route up towards Launceston ( via Bodmin, Camelford etc.) then down to Plymouth for Cap'n Jaspers, coffee and lunch/ cake (whatever takes your fancy ;) ). After that head back to Dobwalls and then twisty route to St. Austell, returning to Fraddon for coffee's and goodbye's etc.

A word of warning though, I've only been to Cap'n Jaspers once before, so I'll be following some Google instructions and my nose ;) ! (if anyone wants to take over leading to Jaspers after the bridge feel free :D :D )

To be honest though, my ride outs tend to be quite open to changes and suggestions from whoever attends, if you have a favourite bit of road and you want to share it, just say and we'll accommodate it! Also it will be down to the weather too, if it looks too crappy in one direction, I'll go the other way :D .

And thank you Simon, I didn't put the ride up straight away as I thought I'd gauge interest first, but I'll remember next time!

Checked the Sunday weather report, Met Office reckon its going to be overcast but dry until later evening, by which time it will be dark and we will be tucked up at home, supping hot chocolates and eating roasts etc.....maybe :-\

Oh and supposedly it will be 10 to 12 Deg C, but feeling 8-9 Deg with wind chill, not too bad for November then :D !
