Cheerz everybody! I still can't believe I am actually allowed to ride a bike, on my own with nobody talking in my ear! lol :D

Soooo excited about bike shopping, and can't wait til the summer gets here...really looking foward to the meets.

I have been so over the moon today. Everyone in the office knows I passed my test
1. Cos I told the majority of people
2. Cos the ones I forgot to tell asked me why I was grinning from ear to ear ALL DAY! So..I told em' !!!

Ooh btw quick question, I have found a 53 Plate SK3 SV650S private sale for ?3300 with 600 miles on the clock, i phoned him, he said he has had a gsxr b4 and the sv just doesn't rock his boat so he's sellin it. I know if I see it I will like the look of it cosmetically, but really will have no idea about the mechanics etc..how can I get it checked out to see if it is sound?
Or just buy from a dealer? Any ideas peeps?

Well done on your DAS, what a relief, I share your feelings as I struggled a bit to pass mine a few years back. Thats it now, your free to ride all you like on your own
Best thing to do is try to take someone with you who knows a little about bikes or maybe ask someone on here that has an SV

Well done minxy.

Excellent choice of bike.

3300 for a 53 with 600 miles sounds ok, even better if you can knock a couple hundred off, but check out http://www.biketrader.co.uk and see what they are going for on there.
With that mileage it should be perfect, but try to take someone along who knows about bikes.

When you do get one take it easy as now is when the learning really starts.
