Nice quite ride around South West Cornwall

Post by Tigerxc »

As the subject suggests anyone got a good recommendations for a ride out in the South West area of Cornwall, I normally make it up as I go along, taking turns randomly as I go some good some not.

Anyone recommend a nice quite route I tend to potter and hate having a car following along behind me, and if ther to close pull over so I can ride in peace, is it me or do cars seem to want to push you along or do I just ride slow?

I ride normally at the speed limits, sorry drifting off, I think it highlights my lack of experience and training.
Thank in advance

There are cars in Cornwall ?? Good grief, technology's a marvel.
Have you noticed that anyone going slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster is a maniac ?

You won't find a car free road in Cornwall, unless you have a crosser, bit with that said sat nav sends the influx of visitors down as many farm tracks as roads so....... What part are you starting from?

Thats a shame, I've only just seen this. Me and Ryan ( CornishGreig ) went for a fun little ride this morning up to Cornwall Services. We took in some very quiet roads ( or some may call cart tracks ;) ) in an effort to avoid the A30. Very few cars, but loads of BLOODY HORSES!! Anyway, depending on the weather and my availability I may be up for a blast out next Sunday or Monday ( Bank Holiday ). If its on I'll post up a ride out, fancy a bit of North Cornwall roads for a change, watch out Buggs I might be heading your way :D !

Hi, not many quiet roads here in SW Cornwall now, especially this time of year, I sometimes find that 7pm can be a fairly quiet time for a ride in the Camborne area and North coast roads. I recently returned to biking after many year and also used to hate cars behind me but think I have got over that now.

Still looking forward to a rideout with others, had to pull out of Badgers trip because of rain, Animal Hospital 100 odd mile was postponed because of bad forecast and the run to Sennen clashes with music gig, oh well it will happen soon.

Perhaps meet soon.

Possibly Monday morning ( 31st ) but it'll be early to avoid the traffic and Mrs Badger finishes work at 2pm so I'd have to be back by then.

Was thinking 7.30am start for me, so up to yours or somewhere nearby for 8.30 ish? Depends on how you feel about it? Also depends on weather up your way, we've got showers then sunny for the morning but it may take longer to clear up North Cornwall way?

I'll open a thread on the ride outs section as we're in danger of thread hijack here Buggs, I'll discuss some ideas there :D .
