Hello from Tedburn

Post by kresmor »

Hello all,
I passed my full bike licence while living in Australia in 1993, but after coming back to the UK I had a health issue involving my eyesight and had to give up my licence.

Fast forward 22 years to 2015 and the NABD ( God bless em). Helped me to win an eight month battle with the DVLA to get my licence back. The only negative is that I have to do my test again, but at least I am back on the road.

So far, I have done my CBT, theory and now have my DAS booked in for July. It is great being back and I am loving my MT125!

Hope to meet up with some of you at some point.

Cheers for now

Andy

Welcome and well done on passing the test :-bd

You mentioned NABD in your first post. I know quite a few folk the National Association for Bikers with Disability has helped out and I've been a member and supporter of NABD myself a few years now. I urge everyone to consider joining NABD, disabled or not. The few quid helps a lot of people onto bikes who otherwise might not be able to join us 8)

Well said and I totally agree.

They are a great bunch of fellow bikers, who do some very good work for people like me. Without them I would not be where I am.

Cheers
