Look in here for local ride outs...

Forum rules
You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.

Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

billinom8s wrote: Mar 11th, '19, 19:51 It's 125 friendly. All junctions marked.

125s and/or newbies are up the front with me and won't be junction marking just riding at posted speeds.
A 10hp 125cc would struggle, and would pretty much be flat out most of the time, as I was last year on a friendly run.

A 15hp machine and up, would probably be fine.

If it can do 60mph then it's fine.

Saying that, i've been on rides when people with thousands wouldn't go over 50mph.

Have you noticed that anyone going slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster is a maniac ?

Lol

Initially I asked as I'm thinking of joining you but I've only got my 400 on the road at the moment. My otherhalf has shown some interest too but as she's only on a 125 I'm not sure it'd be fair to the group.

I'm sure it will be ok for your lovely lady, after all it's a cobweb ride. I certainly wont be riding like a loon as I've not ridden in 5 months and have a few things to monitor on the bike ready for trackday

She'll be more than welcome. Up the front with me doing posted speed limits she'll be fine. Won't even have to junction mark.

We'll see.. current thinking is that it could be too much too soon, so we'll likely just carry on doing incrementally longer rides for now.

I'm still tempted to come though... but I do fear for my bike's little engine, and of coarse the normal small print applies wrt the weather (double figures throughout the day and not rained for 100 days :)): ).

Nope, won't make it. too close to aforementioned steed being readied. Also, decided not to lose nearly a month's road tax for the price of just a few days jolly - self disciplined or what!
On the road again from 1st April, digits crossed.
