Yes the sessions are 10 minutes
Yes the noise is bollocks
Yes there’s no garages or electric
Yes it’s a boring, bumpy roundabout
But
Track time
And I can drive up in the morning

A lap of Combe is something along the lines of: flat stick through the gears, bump, bump, bump, heavy braking, change down, turn right... and repeat, 3 times/lap. Mugello it is not... it’s a track, but so is Llandow which I preferred to Combe, plus the noise limits are draconian and you only get ten minute sessions with two mandatory out laps behind instructors EVERY session. You’ll probably drive home afterwards wondering why you bothered. When I rode there it was a Focused Events day with proper 20-minute sessions and race day noise limits as they were smart enough to jump in when a race meeting (with all necessary allowances) was cancelled. Despite the day’s conditions being far less onerous than normal, I still wasn’t taken with the place. Sure, it was far closer to home, but I’d rather drive 200 miles to Cadwell...
