Hi all just wondering what's the best tyre pressure for front and rear on my 2001 zx9r as feels a bit hard at moment when out

That's nearly as bad a question as what oil to use. The handbook says 36/42 for a reason, though wiser people will say different 
old and disgraceful so doing what I can while I can before I can't

Stock pressures for your ZX9r would be f36 - r42 psi but there are many variables within that i.e. tyre make and model, weight, riding style etc. etc. The handbook pressures for my Triumph Sprint ST 1050 (with 120/70/17 front and 180/55/17 rear) is 36/42 psi, but I'm running my Pilot Powers at f33/r38 psi and the difference for the better is marked.

Many peeps seem to benefit form a couple of lbs down front and back, I've always stuck to standard.
Have you noticed that anyone going slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster is a maniac ?
