Bridgestone s22 or rs11.

Post by quigs »

Booked in the trackday for Friday and currently got s22 on my s1000r. Now still undecided weather to just use them or I've found scrubs on Ebay they may suit me better rs11 front r11 rear.

Used to use supercorsas on my r6 trackbike in fast group but that going back 8 yrs ago so won't be as quick as I used to be .

Kind of depends on what you planning for the day. The S22's will of course work on track but depends on what you planning to push through them and how fast you planning on going. If your going advanced group and are planning to set new lap records then of course I would suggest indeed going back to SuperCorsa's and or Slicks. But if your just going to enjoy the day and riding at a pace that you and the bike feel happy with then think you will be fine.

My only advise is to be careful with tyre pressures as you will obviously need to drop them to the correct pressures (tyre guy at the track can help you if your not aware) I would personally always suggest tyre warmers but if that's not an option for you then I would recommend 2 laps at a steady pace to get the proper amount of heat in your tyres before really pressing on (remembering that heat in the rear comes from acceleration and heat in the front comes from braking both of which you do when your up right, you build very little heat mid corner or weaving)
