Just how many 56kers are on the site anyway ?

As for deleting all the offending avatars and signatures they had to look at them one at a time why not give people the chance to sort them out by sending a standard PM or putting up a notice telling users and members what is going on, not put a thread then two minutes later start deleting.

When a user was posting offensive posts of a sexualy and racialy nature it took weeks to ban him so what was the hurry over the avatars and siggys?

If you want to be petty about it why do they let people swear on the forum by using other letters etc. as in Tw@t, Bu££er, Feckers, A$$ etc. which is not worksafe or child friendly.

Well put Tom.
I spoke to someone else who is on dial up and they had no problems with avatars or siggys loading but the smileys take a long time to load so can we ban them as well.

I'm on 56k cos they dont have broadband out here. The biggest problem I experience on the site is when people put up useless replies to posts which makes the post umpteen pages long and therefore takes me ages to find what the original post was.

On the other hand, I'm on the site cos I ride a bike and only go in to the posts that refer to biking most of the time. Hope to see some of you on a rideout sometime. Todays was the best of the Winter so far.

I noticed that some people were having a slightly better time than others so I told off the people who were enjoying themselves so we could all be the same! (Ooh, get me and my sarcasm!)

Do they have electric and running hot and cold in Landrake...?

Or do you connect a belt drive to your back wheel for power...?

Glad you had a nice rideout today Tom, wish I could have come... :(

You will actually find that there are lot of people that still use the 56k Dial Up. When I'm at work we have 2MB line, that is shared between 14 computers, so that can make it pretty slow. (Before I get slated about using the internet at work... I HAVE PERMISSION :P )

At home I have a 1mb line that is shared between Boo & I. This wasn't a rampage to put smiling faces on all the 56k users, but was actually something that I believe will profit the site. Unfortunatly, with getting rid of the oversized signatures, we now have a shit load of piss boring threads about people bitching because we have removed a picture from their profile.

I have made some simple 'rules' for signatures that I would 'prefer' people to obide to. I even told people to email me if they want a signature made, if they want something re-sized I can also do that in about 10 seconds. If people are going to take the piss out of going 1 pixel over the stated size, or make the resolution higher thus making the file size bigger than it was before. Then I will find a way to remove all signatures together.

And if you still feel hard-done by because of this.....
