I think you need a special tool to fix a fork seal, not sure. Though I think it actually costs less to strip down the fork and take it to a garage rather than buy the tool! Though i expect Andrew probably has the tool or knows how to do it without!

Like Andrew says, no special tools, I've done a couple myself, would do yours if I lived a little closer. Just make sure you measure out the oil correctly and dont just guess.. if you decide to do them yourself :D

Andrew what did you think it was that was stopping my bike from starting sometimes? Because i know the battery is good, did you think it was just a loose connection or something? cheers bud

yeah most probably a dodgy wirein the starter circuit (thats what i found with Jaks bike) or possibly your starter relay is on its last legs (thats what happened to blubirds bike)

First thing is to check the wiring for any obvious problems, ideally you want to be able to read the haynes wiring diagrams and have a multimeter to test continuity of wires.

If you can't find anything then the best bet is to replace your starter relay and see if that fixes the problem - but i'd check the wiring very carefully first and try to find a second hand relay as they can cot quite a bit brand new.
