CMS in Exeter had what looked to be Shoei XR1000's for under £200 .... I've got an XR900 and like it :D

Unless you have tried the exact same model in the same size in a shop to check the fit I would say dont buy a lid of the net.

and mine was £170 from J&S

they also had Arai Condor for under £200, but i didnt like the graphics.

I'm very pleased with my AGV.

You gotta check fit before buying any lid. I was looking for a Shark lid but when I tried one on it was painful on my ears, so went for the AGV instead. There was nowhere on the net cheaper than J&S at the time. Hein G tried to sell me the same lid for £200 so it pays to shop around.

The price definately varies mate you're right there, when tring helmets i too found that a fair few were painful on my ears....so i was forced to get the most reflective dome piece you will probably ever see

definitely be very careful buying a helmet off the net - even specially couriered...

also sizes varies loads between manufacturers, not just in the size of the lid but also the sizes they offer... i have ML AGV ti-tech, but had a small AGV stealth and thats within the same company...
