it had just finished pouring, pulled away at roundabout with summer glare on it, got 5 feet hit diesel, back wheel span up i went down. Broke mirror, bent bars, failed test. summer 04.

Also have no idea how i made it home in one piece today. Had to get new tyres today, piggly wiggly gave me a warning last night. So there i am nice non-scrubbed brand spanking new tyres, pissing it down with rain, and to top it all off the whole 5 mile trip home, my side of the road has got so much diesal i didnt need to see it cuz i could smell it.. still have no clue how i stayed upright....

5. Lost_identity - Crash 1 - Cg 125 - Riding in the wet, tried sliding the back end out super moto stylee and it went splat. Damage - bent bars, scuffed exhaust, broken mirror, scuffed bar end.
Crash 2 - Sv650 - Lowside on roundabout due to over aggressive cornering. Damage - Scuffed bar end, scuffed exhaust, bent rear brake lever, scuffed belly pan.
Crash 3 - SV650 - Racing father on torpoint twisties. Pulled out ahead and found myself miles outside my comfort zone. 92 MPH into a ditch. Damage - complete rebuild. Only the engine and frame survived. Sprained ankle and concussion.
Crash 4 - Sv650 - Crownhill roundabout with knee down. Due to dodgy rebuild the rear wheel bearings were shagged and the bike spat me off mid corner. Damage - Hole in brand new scorpion race can, Scuffed bar end, Snapped rear brake lever, snapped front brake lever.

And about a million stupid low speed drops due to leaving disc locks on ect. Thank god for mr R&G.

6. TORPOINT TWISITES- GSXR 600. flying down there chasing my mate on his Mille, came over a slight crest near the halfway house pub, temporary traffic lights, no warning signs i was doin excessive speed. pile drived into the back of a parked van. Two days in hospital and Two operations to re-build my thumb!!! otherwise ok just a bit battered and bruised......lost the race with the Mille!!!! 5 mins after accident my mate turned round and said " I WON" still laugh about it now. But could of been alot worse. the worst thing about it was my wife was 7 months pregnant at the time

u can imagine how she felt about bikes after that!!!

120MPH down some German road, fly round a corner to be faced with a large grass mound roundabout with kerb

hit the brakes get down to about a tonne before hitting it head on, fly up the roundabout, get airborne, land on the other side of the roundabout sideways at which point I get thrown off into the road and slide along. Missed about 3 signs just and gave the couple in the car on the other side of the roundabout a good scare

damage, a pretty [Censored] front wheel and some cosmetic damage. Gravel rash on my shoulder where my jacket tore.

many years ago now.......riding through Alphington at 2.00am on my way home from a mate's, on a (very) loud and dubiously legal Gpz, when the world turns into a disco - mr Plod wants a nice early morning chat. Pull over at the kerb, put side-stand down carefully, step off bike and promptly trip over kerb and go down onto the pavement like a sack of spuds

plod who was halfway towards me immediately turns around and gets his breathalyser.......

Or pull up outside the house on another Gpz, and whilst lifting right leg to swing off bike left foot slips on some dog sh*te ..... I have to lie there with a Gpz11 on top of me beeping my horn waiting for a neighbour/passerby to haul it off me whilst my face is inches from a dog turd an elephant would be proud of .....

coming off on Exe bridges and trying to run at 30mph ..... my legs can't go that fast, I found out very quickly ....

oooh, the list goes on.......

tls-moose, that was an amazing story! just laughed so much i nearly coughed up my sandwich!!!!! haha.

honda hornet - installing new shelves in the garage (read bodged), loaded up with heavy paint cans, books and an old tv.
got worken up in the early hours to the sound of my disc lock alarm... stumbled outside armed with my baseball bat to find that the shelves had given way and the paint cans had bent my mirrors and dented the tank!

gsxr 600 - (in the sheeting rain) loaded up my backpack, put on my waterproofs and fired her up. just about to put my helmet on and the bike started rolling down the hill. side stand folded up and the bike rode itself into the wall! damaged mirror, indicator, screen and belly pan!

you gotta laugh

driving along back lane late a night, came round a corner with a gate on it, tractors had been going in and out all day, more mud on road than in the field. went down so fast didn't know what happened. only damage lost glass in one mirror, the mud made for a soft but messy landing
